Background
Lewisville Motor Company, an automotive recycling facility located in Winston-Salem, NC, needed to find a faster and safer way to transport the engines around their facility.
The Problem
They were using a bulky forklift and multiple people to move engines around the facility. The process would take 25-30 minutes causing backups in the production process.
The Solution
After researching and getting several different quotes, they chose a Gorbel® Freestanding Work Station Crane and GS Series Electric Chain Hoist.They felt the Gorbel system best fit their needs, provided the best price point, and was more structurally stable. Production time has been cut in half and the amount of people needed has drastically decreased.
